About the role

As a AI Full-Stack Engineer at Athenai Labs, you will be part of the team that designs and develops our AI and advanced analytics platforms. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team with extensive experience in the field and product leaders to build scalable, efficient, and useful solutions.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Designing, building, and deploying conversational AI systems (chatbots, assistants, multimodal interfaces).
Developing and optimizing computer vision pipelines (detection, classification, OCR, tracking, etc.).
Implementing autonomous agents that connect language models with data sources and external tools.
Integrating proprietary and third-party models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, etc.) using modern APIs and frameworks.
Collaborating with data scientists, product managers, and designers to bring prototypes to production.
Participating in architecture reviews, model evaluations, and performance optimization.

What we are looking for:

+5 years of experience in software development with JavaScript, Node.js, and Python.
Practical knowledge in any of these fields:
- Conversational AI (LLMs, RAG).
- Computer vision (OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Integration of agents and tools (LangChain).
Experience building and deploying cloud services (preferably Azure).
Ability to move fluidly between backend, frontend, and AI.
Product focus: you understand the “why” behind every technical decision.
Functional technical English.

Bonus points:

Experience building multimodal pipelines (text + image + audio).
Experience with data infrastructure or MLOps.
Open source contributions or public demos.
Passion for experimenting with new models and frameworks.
